Welcome to StringScales, an online platform owned and operated by Indicode BV, a company registered in Belgium. By accessing or using StringScales, you expressly agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). All content provided on StringScales, including but not limited to text, graphics, diagrams, and software, is the property of Indicode BV or its licensors and is protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of any content is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

6. User Accounts

• To access certain features of the platform, users may be required to create an account.
• Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and all activities conducted under their accounts.
• StringScales reserves the right to terminate accounts found in violation of these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under applicable Belgian law, StringScales and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of, or inability to use the platform. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, goodwill, or other intangible losses, whether based on breach of contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if StringScales has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Indicode BV, its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, and licensors from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, costs, expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees), or losses arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of the platform.
• Any breach of these Terms by you.

12. Force Majeure

StringScales shall not be held liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, governmental or regulatory actions, labor disputes, power outages, cyber-attacks, technical failures, or interruptions to internet services. This includes any unforeseen events or circumstances that prevent StringScales from fulfilling its obligations despite reasonable efforts to do so.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

• These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium.
• Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Antwerp, Belgium.
• Users agree to attempt to resolve disputes through amicable means or alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms before resorting to court proceedings.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Usage Restrictions

Users are prohibited from engaging in the following activities:

• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code of the platform.
• Circumventing or attempting to circumvent any security measures or restrictions imposed on the platform.
• Uploading or transmitting any material that contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
• Using the platform in any way that could harm, disable, or impair the platform’s functionality.

16. Children’s Privacy

The platform is not directed at children under the age of 13. StringScales does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that personal data of a child has been collected without parental consent, we will take steps to delete such information.

18. Language and Precedence

In case of any inconsistencies between translations of these Terms, the English version shall prevail.
