  • Keep the b6 (Db) off strong beats under a major chord... as a passing shadow it is striking, sustained it argues with the 6th-less chord.

How to play F flat six pentatonic on guitar

Roots start low, fret 1 on both E strings and 3 on the D, meaning box one opens almost at the nut. Open A and open G belong here as the 3rd and 2nd, which means they colour a line without ever anchoring it. Higher up, roots sit at 6 on the B, 8 on the A and 10 on the G. Capo 1 gives E fingerings.
