The hungarian minor scale is harmonic minor with a raised 4th: two augmented 2nd leaps, one on each side of the 5th. This is the full gypsy-scale drama of Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsodies and Eastern European violin music, and a secret weapon in neoclassical metal. The #4 to 5 and 7 to root resolutions give it two built-in climaxes per octave.
it consists of these notes and degrees:

Same notes, different mode

How to play B hungarian minor on guitar
Open B is the tonic, so you can leave that string ringing while the fretting hand moves under it. C#Mb5 sits on the second degree, a major triad with a flattened fifth, which means the usual shape needs one finger moved. Four sharps in the signature. Lowest root is fret 7 on the sixth string, box one gives way at fret 11, and a capo at fret 2 reads everything in A.
